It’s a big deal asking for help. And asking for money, forget it, it’s a big deal. But we are all in this together and my success is your success. My ability to support you is directly related to my ability to be supported by you. I’m asking for your financial support because we need it in order to make this happen.
A 1500 square foot space opened up right next door to our current flagship in Greenpoint, Brooklyn a few months ago. When does this happen? When you are meant to expand! So she’s ready! We took it and started construction. I was naive about time and money. It was grace that allowed me to be naive so I would say yes to what is a way larger, pricier, time and energy consuming project than I could have imagined. So we are in it now and grateful for all of it but we do need your support to finish her in a timely manner.
We want to be open mid- September. We have the crews, the electricians, the plumbers and the painters but we need to pay them to keep things moving. Otherwise it will be us painting all nights. We don’t know how to plumb or do electric so these are necessities now. Five years ago when we built the middle treatment rooms I dove in to help do the work with a few angels. But I am a mother now and my son needs my nights and evenings. The business needs at least half of my day so that doesn’t leave much time for us to do this ourselves. We need all hands on deck and we need your financial support.
In 2013 I graduated acupuncture school and we decided to make her a real business! With a real website, more programming, more practitioners, more workshops and crystals for the new shop. It was fun. People started coming that weren’t just friends or friends of friends. There was a shift happening and New York was ready for the healing that we had to offer! And ready for tools to support the hard working, creative, ambitious artists, designers, musicians, creatives and business people who call New York home. In the past five years we have supported thousands of people in their healing and growth.

Maha Rose was started organically by myself, Luke Simon and Padma Gonzalez between 2005 and 2010. Slowly she began, out of our creative spirits, with meditation classes in the morning and wild women classes at night. Reiki, lots and lots of reiki infused the walls, the ceilings and the floors with love, healing, tears, laughter, fun and magic. We lived there in those years and there was a seamlessness between our spiritual lives, our evolving work lives and our creative practices.

It’s an strong time in the world and New York is an intense place to live. We need tools and we need community! People usually come first to Maha Rose to heal, then they begin to wake up to their own healing powers. And people come to Maha Rose to meet their soul family. We are all in this together. There is more ease when we do it together and more fun! As spirit oriented individuals we need spirit seeking friends. They nurture us and give us the strength to do the inner work and to live the lives we want to be living. This expansion will create more space for all of us and facilitate more offerings for your well being and evolution.
Your contributions will pay our contractors, our staff as we are shifting and for the furniture: the couches, the rugs, the sauna, the lights. The couches you will come lounge on, maybe cry into. The sauna you will sweat it all out in. The rugs you will lay on and meet your spirit. Your contributions will keep us out of a hefty debt and allow our staff to continue to serve you.
