Hi! Our family is raising money to support a community of Maasai women and their children in Kenya, to have clean and accessible drinking water. We visited this community in the summer of 2025 and were shocked at the lack of water in their area and how far the women have to walk to get it. River after river were dried up due to frequent droughts, over grazing and climate change. This community of women took care of me for years when I was a young, naive traveller and taught me their language and mothering practices. My years with them changed my life - informed my parenting and future work, and I've always wanted to be able to give them something back.

While there last summer, the women asked for help with their well. They have a borehole, but no money for the pump, solar panels and pipes to bring the water to the surface. Our family left Kenya committed to bringing this well to life and are inviting you to help us do so. We have a quote from a reputable Kenyan plumbing company that's ready to get started as soon as we have the funding. Every penny raised will go to the parts and labor for this well. There is no donation too small, and your help is greatly appreciated.
