Lyme Test for Kayla P
Donation protected
Hello friends,
As most of you know, Kayla P has had a very difficult year with her health. After many appointments and tests, it is leading some of her doctors to believe she has Lyme Disease. However, Lyme is one of the most difficult diseases to diagnose and treat in Canada which leave many Canadians travelling to seek medical care (Canada’s Lyme Test misses it 50-75% of the time and can only ever catch it 50% of the time within the first few weeks).
Her regular symptoms are dizziness, heart palpitations and racing, tremors, extreme fatigue, nausea, difficulty swallowing, fluctuating body temperature, headaches, difficulty sleeping, joint pain, head and facial muscle tingling, weakness, muscle pain, and difficulty concentrating.
Thankfully she’s found a naturopathic clinic in Bedford that specializes in Lyme treatment!! In order to give her the best care possible, they are suggesting a Lyme test that would help them treat the specific strains of Lyme and possible co-infections that she may have, and give her peace of mind in knowing for sure why her central nervous system is not functioning normally. She has done much research and talked with others who have Lyme in the city and they also suggest getting the test.
This test is called the Armin Test and has a 85% accuracy rate which is one of the best tests for Lyme disease. It is done in Germany but thankfully she doesn’t have to travel there, just send a blood sample. This test, however, costs about $1000. Because of the severity of her symptoms, she hasn’t been able to work many hours to save for the test and treatments. We’re looking to raise at least this amount and hopefully more to help with her appointments here which are pricey.
We thank-you so much for your prayers and support, she’s thankful to have you all walking through this journey with her!!
