Look At Me: Seeing Incarcerated Survivors

Donation protected
Join survivors of gender-based violence inside of Logan Prison and the Women's Justice Institute this October 27, 2021, from 6pm to 8pm, as they premiere amazing original written pieces from those inside. Unfortunately, Domestic Violence Awareness Month often leaves out people inside of women's prisons-- over 94% of whom are survivors of gender-based violence.

The writers and performers created these pieces to bring awareness to the criminalization of survivors. However, we would like to recognize their labor and talent. For half of the people at the prison, they make approximately $10/month, so a little support can be significant. We will be splitting all donations between the performers, the needs of all of the women at the prison, and the Women's Justice Institute's Survival Fund. Please consider a donation to support incredible survivors. In addition, if we receive enough donations, we will provide projectors and screens so that the performance can be reshown on the housing units at the prison.
