Support for Febe Fund

PLEASE, HELP MY FRIEND!
My friend and co-worker, Febe, is a single mother raising two beautiful children on her own.  Most recently she and her family have experienced a major set-back.  A suspicious lump was discovered in her daughter’s neck, the family remained positive during a six week process, hoping for the best but fearing the worst.   Finally, Melanie was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  She is the young lady you see in the picture.

During the process of determining Melanie’s diagnosis, Febe exhausted all of her illness and personal vacation days and due to this unexpected and difficult circumstance, Febe has taken a Leave of Absence from work.  Febe needs to be by her daughter’s side as she goes through intensive treatments that will require her to be hospitalized for an extended period of time.   

 Melanie is a sweet, affectionate young lady with a beautiful spirit who has touched our hearts.  She is sixteen years old, a Special Needs child.  Throughout her young life Melanie has been through a lot of medical issues, including a couple of heart surgeries.  Now she is in a fight for her life against Cancer.  Because of her condition, Melanie is struggling to understand what she is going through and having her mother by her side to comfort her, is crucial.

Because of Melanie's condition, the Chemotherapy treatment will be given at a specialized hospital far from her home.   Febe will have no income to support the family or to manage the expenses that will come from traveling back and forth to the hospital every day.   I am trying to raise funds for Febe so that she can be by Melanie’s side every step of the way.
