Lisa Hodaei Memorial Fund
Donazione protetta
On September 27, 2018, the world lost a bright light, a remarkable human being.
Lisa Hodaei - Compassion. Conversation. Collaboration. Community.
Lisa was many things to many people, but never was she a bystander in life. She was a consummate advocate, tirelessly chasing knowledge and understanding, so that she could participate in solutions to problems. After sustaining a traumatic brain injury, her life took on a new direction and focus. Determined to sort out the complex and confusing new normal of life with a TBI, Lisa found that access to resources, and support and treatment for TBIs was elusive to too many. Lisa was hardwired to help her community; she couldn’t help but become an advocate for those suffering like she was, and a compassionate ear to strangers that she came across.
Lisa had big dreams and smart ideas. In honor of her compassion and love, we are raising funds to help make one of her dreams come true.
While receiving treatment for her brain injuries, she built a special connection with the doctor, staff, and patients at Mid-Atlantic Concussion (MAC) Alliance in Hockessin, DE. She imagined starting a support group through the practice for patients struggling with post-concussive anxiety and depression. Donations made here will be used to start “Lisa’s Group” at MAC Alliance, as well as to provide funds for proper medical care, counseling, and rehabilitation for the uninsured and those unable to work.
Please help us to honor the memory of our friend, and a remarkable human being, by continuing her compassion, conversation, collaboration and community. Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated. Thank You!
