Lillie Anne's Strength
Lillie Anne's Strength
This is 3-year-old Lillie Anne's Story. Lillie Anne was born at 24 weeks, a twin weighing 1lb. 4oz. With so many odds stacked against her from being born early and two brain bleeds at birth.
Those events resulted in her having hydrocephalus and needing a VP SHUNT to maintain life, Lillie was up against a tremendous fight for life but her family took on the uncertain news and remained strong in faith that she would indeed beat the odds. Over the last 3 years Lillie has grown into a vibrant bubbly very inquisitive baby, she has a huge personality and strength within her disabilities, and her mom and family were so proud of the milestones she was achieving. On January 19th 2021 Lillie was rushed by paramedics to the local children's hospital in her city where she has spent a great deal of her life going through surgeries and other difficult odds. On this visit Lillie was seen in the ER and sent home with mom to only be rushed back by paramedics 2 hours later because she stopped breathing. Lillie was hospitalized for 3 months from that date and is now trach and ventilator dependent because of the injury and trauma her brain sustained, she has been diagnosed with chronic respiratory failure. Lillie is just as fragile now as she was at birth, and certainly not the same vibrant and bubbly baby she was growing to become, but her family remains in faith and hopeful for her future. On June 11th 2021 Lillie was transferred by emergency air lift to a hospital in another city because of possible shunt malfunction, fortunately her shunt was discovered by expert neurosurgeons to be working well. Lillie is now getting care from the best hospital for children in her state, she was certainly in great need of this care. After her mom speaking with doctors about the specialized care Lillie Anne needs now and in the future, Lillie's mom feels it will be best that Lillie is closer to this hospital, after long thoughts and careful consideration her mom has decided to relocate Lillie along with her 5 siblings for this reason. Relocating is a hugh task that her mom has to take on as a single mother of 6 kids with the help of their grandmother and aunt, but she's up for it, if that means better chances for Lillie Anne's future. Lillie Anne's mom is her biggest advocate along with her other children, grandmother, and aunt and believes it will be best for them all. Just in 2 weeks of Lillie Anne receiving care specific to her fragile needs, she has shown improvement and getting stronger with each day, she has a long road ahead of her. Lillie Anne's family would greatly appreciate any help you provide and prayers. We thank you for this help in a time of need and we pray God truly blesses you for sowing into the future of LILLIE ANNE'S STRENGTH. WE LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU ❤
