It's that time of year again!
Lexi's Gifts is underway for the 3rd year in a row! I began this campaign in 2014 to bring joy to teens and young adults fighting cancer at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. When people think about a children's hopspitals their minds typically go to the infants, toddlers and young children, we can not forget about the teenagers! Being a pediatric cancer survivor myself, giving back to this hospital and these kids has always been close to my heart.
100% of the money raised through this account I will put towards buying gifts to donate. These items can be anything a teenager might like; movies, giftcards, lotion & bodywash sets, games, makeup, nailpolish, lanyards, arts/crafts kits, board games, fuzzy socks, phone cases, electronic equipment, etc. These goodies will be distribued to patience by the Child Life department on the oncology floor. A patient may recieve an item at any time a child life specalist sees necessary. For example, at the end treatment, post surgery, post chemo round, post BMT, etc...
I plan to donate everything on December the 21st. In saying that, I will close this campaign at 11:59pm on Thursday December 15th so I will have time to shop for everything.
I can not thank everyone enough in advance for the support. No matter the amount you may consider donating, just know every single dollar goes to putting a smile on a brave cancer fighting face.
