Julie's post tore us all up.
"Our hearts are broken.
On Sunday evening, we lost our guy, Lewis Dunlap. He suffered a massive heart attack after contracting COVID-19. He has never had a heart issue and was doing fine aside from a pesky fever until Saturday. He was grumpy and bored being stuck in the bedroom, cordoned off from his world, his girls.
And then Sunday he was not fine and here we are -- two grieving little girls and myself and we do not know how to breathe without him here.
Anyone who knew Lewis knows his girls were his everything. He promised them the world and delivered. The hole of his absence seems like the abyss.
If you a praying person, we sure could use them.
And, if you are one of those who think this is not real, I have no words for you. Lew was an essential worker who was extremely cautious and it did not do a damn thing. He still got it. I unsuccessfully performed life-saving measures while trying to save my husband, so now I cannot even hug my devastated children and I need to hold them. Wear a damn mask."
Funds raised will help with the sudden, unanticipated expenses of losing Lew - funeral, medical, etc. and help Julie and the girls transition to being a single income home.
