We almost lost our son on Saturday August 19th at noon. My two year old Levi Padilla had a sudden cardiac arrest out of no where. Levi went from being himself to out cold with no heart beat in a matter of seconds. Fonzo had to do immediate CPR repeatedly while I called 911. The ambulance team took over when they got there, and continued for almost 30 minutes. He finally came back to us after being shocked twice with a defibrillator. We thought we were going to lose him, he was lifeless and blue the entire time, we had never been so scared. (They told us if dad hadn’t done CPR immediately, the entire time, Levi would not be here. We are very great full he’s alive.) He was then put on a medical flight to Stanford where he has been and will stay till we know more. He is okay now and back to himself again, but we still don’t know what caused this or why. We are so grateful that he made a full recovery! We are still waiting for many test results and more tests to be done, and most likely a pace maker to be put into his heart though. He has to be watched 24/7 and myself and Fonzo have to take time off of work to take turns watching him and our other children. I’m asking for help because of daily travel expenses driving back and forth, we don’t know how much the medical expenses will be for the ambulance and helicopter flight and we still don’t know anything and don’t know how long he will be at Stanford Children's Hospital. If you know Levi he is happy, wild, playful, and silly. We just want our baby boy back home and safe, and would greatly appreciate any help we could get during this crazy/scary time. Thank you.
