Let’s help our beautiful friend Harriet

Hi, my name is Sarah.

I am fundraising for our beautiful friend Harriet who we all know and love very much, she has just received the call that we all dread, living here in Australia so far away from home. She’s been told that it’s time to say her final goodbye to her beloved mum in the UK. For anyone who’s experienced that moment, I know some of you have, you know the emotional weight and turmoil it brings. But not only does Harriet have to face that traumatic , heartbreaking journey alone, she is also faced with the reality that the bills and life here in Australia won’t stop.

I’ve created this page to help ease some of that burden for Harriet. The last thing she should be worrying about is how she’ll manage to afford the trip back or when she can return. Our hope is to allow Harriet to be fully present with her family during this painful time, without the added stress of finances forcing her to cut short her time with them.

Any support you can offer would mean the world. As expats, we all know the heartache of not having family close by in moments like these. In times like this, we’re each other’s family.
