Let's help Andy Pogorzelski fight the Big C.

Hi my name is Kim Bolander and Julie Ormsby and we would like to help our good friend Andy Pogorzelski with his medical bills due to being diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Follicular Lymphoma on August 31, 2022.

NHL is a cancer of the lymphatic system. Follicular Lymphoma develops when the body makes abnormal B Lymphocytes. These Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cells that normally helps us fight infections. When you have Lymphoma, the abnormal Lymphocytes build up in the lymph nodes or other body organs.

Andy's journey has been going through chemotherapy every 28 days . When he gets chemotherapy he is usually off of work 7-10 days afterwards. He also gets blood work weekly and a Neupogen shot for WBC monthly. It's a bone marrow stimulant. It can help the body make white blood cells after receiving cancer medications. He has his good days and makes it through the bad ones.

In February Andy will recieve a CT scan to see how well the chemotherapy is working. He will also recieve a PET scan 6-8 week after last round of chemotherapy.

Andy has depleted his PTO and his family just found out that his wife lost her job because the store she works at is closing permanently. She worked there for 10 years.

She carried the Insurance, so now he will have to pick up the insurance with them having two deductibles this month.

Most of you might know Andy is a Respiratory Therapist. He has a great rapport with his patients and coworkers. Andy is like our brother. We have known him and worked together for 25 years. If you could help out that would get great!

We have GREAT news! Andy found out today that he is in remission. He will have to get blood work in 3 months and a PET scan in the next year because of they type of Lymphoma he has. They want to keep a close eye on him. He is beyond excited as Julie and I are also. Thank you everyone for your continuous prayers, support and generous donations for Andy and his family. ❤
