Hello dear family and friends,
We are asking for your help to send our dear father, Marco, to a cancer hospital in Mexico.
He has been living with prostate cancer for a few years and has done a wonderful job keeping it at bay. He eats healthy, exercises and takes supplements and vitamins.
About a month ago he started having pain around his lower back and it kept getting worse so he stopped exercising. He was fine if he was laying down but as soon as he would move the pain became unbearable. He went to the Emergency Room and they told him it was arthritis. The diagnosis didn't make sense to him, but he went home with some pain medications. He then went back to the Emergency Room about a week later because his pain was still unbearable. This time they did some tests and saw that he had a tear in his vertebrae and a large tumor pushing against it. He then went home with a higher dose pain medication while they ran some more tests.
On July 15th he landed in the Emergency Room again. This time, he was diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer. The doctors are treating it right away with radiation three times a week and chemotherapy once a month.
We are looking to raise funds to send him to Chipsa Hospital in Mexico. There, they use integrative therapy, which combines alternative options with some traditional methods of treating cancer. It's a more holistic approach, they use an enhanced Gerson therapy and advanced Immunotherapy, among other things, to work with the body to make it strong enough to fight the cancer. It's an expensive treatment but will help him heal.
We are hoping to send him as soon as able. Any amount you can give today will be helpful and greatly appreciated. As the saying goes "many hands make light work". Together, we can send our beloved father to heal.
