Layla’s story is one of survival, love, and hope.
For the first five years of her life, Layla knew only cages and cruelty. She was one of the beagles rescued from the Envigo testing lab in Cumberland, West Virginia. She never saw sunlight, never touched grass, never felt love.
When my mom, Debbie, met Layla in Grand Rapids, their bond was instant. She fought to bring her home, and together they worked through fear, trauma, and trust. Over the past three years, Layla has blossomed into the happiest, spunkiest, most loving dog. She has become my mothers true soul dog.
But now, Layla is facing her toughest battle yet: cancer. The good news is that it hasn’t spread, and surgery could give her many more years of the life she deserves. The challenge? The surgery costs about $6,500.
We’re asking for your help to give Layla this chance. Every donation, big or small, means more time for belly rubs, zoomies in the yard, and snuggles with her family.
Layla spent half her life without freedom or love. Let’s give her more years filled with both.
