Our friend Lauri went to be with Jesus on January 25, 2016. It was not what any of us expected - she'd fought hard to come back and rebuild her life. She had so much hope for her future and was working on completing her education so she could become a nurse. More than anything, she wanted to move to Georgia to be near her daughter Erin, and grandchildren Ashton and Ava.
The past year was incredibly hard on Lauri physically and emotionally, with a breast cancer diagnosis, double mastectomy and many complicating health issues which caused a significant amount of pain. Ultimately, it was just more than her body could handle, and the good news is that she now has a new heavenly body with none of the challenges she faced here on earth. We rejoice that we will see her again in a much better place.
To honor her, we want to raise funds for her daughter Erin to fly out to California from Georgia to attend Lauri's memorial service (date TBD) and to sort through what was left behind. We know there is a considerable financial strain on Erin, and we want to do what we can to relieve some of that stress and be a blessing to her at this most difficult time. Will you join us?
