Nevaeh's Back Surgery & Recovery
UPDATE 8/28: Nevaeh's back surgery on Aug 25 went well. Her spine looks so much better. She did well on Saturday, but began having bad panic attacks on Sunday. This affected her breathing and oxygen levels which kept dropping into the 70 and 80's. By early Monday morning, she developed a fever and her white blood count dropped to 1. This indicates an infection. It is suspected to be pneumonia, but the lab results take 48 hours. They transferred her back to ICU at 4:30 am to better treat her. Please pray for her to overcome the infection and for her lungs to clear. She is exhausted and sleeping a lot. But she is a fighter and we know that with the prayers, love and support of our family and friends she will beat this.
**** End update
Cascade Christian High School and the Sparrow Club have been an amazing blessing to Neveah and our Family during our journey, but they can only do so much. Neveah will be traveling to Shiners Children's Hospital, in Portland Oregon, on August 25th to have back surgery. Doctors have discovered that her spine is compressing and is pushing on all of her internal organs. In an effort to combat this, doctors will put a metal rod into her back, in an effort to help her remain upright, and decrease the pressure on her internal organs. This is a huge surgery, that will take a good deal of recovery time. Money raised through this go-fund me account, will pay for uncovered medical expenses, travel expenses, and household expenses during Neveah's time of recovery. If you would like, you can also donate directly to the Sparrow Club in Neveah's name, donations to Sparrow Club are tax deductible. https://www.sparrowclubs.org/kids/2016-17/
Thank you so much for your generosity, love, support, and
prayers, we need all of the positive energy we can get at the moment.
