Kubras for Cancer - Massive Murray Paddle
As some of you may know, Bucky Skewes-Weir and Rebecca Hancock will be competing in the 2021 Massive Murray Paddle (hopefully held in February 2022). Our team, Kubras for Cancer will be paddling the 5 day, 404km race down the Murray River in our Akubra’s to raise funds for the Cancer Council of Australia.
This charity is close to our hearts as we have had people we love affected by cancer and I’m sure we could say the same for almost everyone. With over 150,000 people diagnosed and sadly more than 49,000 deaths in 2021, whether it be friends, family, or colleagues I’m sure everyone can appreciate how vital such an organisation is.
With an old tandem kayak from facebook marketplace and a lot of determination we are doing our bit to fight cancer. So please get involved and show your support for this worthy cause by sharing, donating and helping us across that finish line!
More information about Cancer Council Australia: Cancer Council is Australia's leading non-government cancer charity, and the only charity that works across every aspect of every cancer, from research to prevention and support.
