Kilburn-Queen's Park Community Garden

Donation protected
Dear Community,

After years of flytipping, drug dealing, and antisocial behavior on the corner of Victoria and Hazelmere Roads, we are making strides towards positive change.

A battle with BT led to the removal of the derelict phone kiosk, which was a hotspot for illicit activities.

And most importantly, community leader Lloyd Fothergill secured funding from Brent for a community eco garden and together with another local community activist, Andy Lowe, designed and built the planter.

The goal of the eco garden is to make our neighborhood greener, cleaner, and more eco friendly. We hope it will also serve as deterrant to antisocial behavior.

However, the Brent funding is only a first step, and additional and ongoing contributions are needed to finance the planting and ensure the garden's future upkeep.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. And any excess funds will go to revitalising and maintaining the planters on the pedestrianized areas on Tennyson and Hazlemere between Priory Park and Glengall.

Please contribute and pass it on to your local friends and neighbours!

All contributions go to Best Eleven Streets (BESt) - a local residents organisation run by Lloyd, which is managing the project.

Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,
Mikaela Bufano, Andy Lowe and Lloyd Fothergill (BESt)
