Kidney Surgery for Ginger Loy

Our dear friend Ginger is currently on dialasis and was able to find a kidney. From none other than one of our very own "Yaya's" a.k.a. sisters for life, Salena Smith! Not only was Sal able and willing to offer Gin a kidney, after going through a medical evaluation process she was fortunate enough to be a match!
Ginger was informed this week from the hospital that once she secures 2500. she can be placed on the surgery calendar. So it is our hopes that her "sisters" can raise the funds very quickly so she can be placed on the calendar as soon as possible. Any and all your help would be such a blessing to her and all who love her!

This hit too close to home this week...without going into too great of detail, I need to say something...I have a kidney match/doner! I will explain more as it unfolds but for now, I just want to say that I have the most amazing group of friends and family a girl could ever have. There are no words to describe how truly grateful I am to the person/people responsible for this kidney. I'm humbled and in awe of your sacrifices for me and I couldn't love you more!
Okay...for those of you that knew about it, my surgery went well today and I'm currently home, recovering nicely. For those of you that didn't know, but are curious, I had a PD catheter installed into my abdomen so that I can begin to do Peritoneal Dialysis. Unfortunately, my kidneys are in end stage renal failure so I have opted for Peritoneal, rather than Hemodialysis.
