My co-worker and friend, Gina, lost her sister (Kelly Marie) unexpectedly in her sleep on July 12th. Kelly Marie was a stay at home military wife (her husband is an active military member) together they had two small children ages, three and five.

The cause of death as been ruled undermined by the medical coroner and may take as long as a year to determine the cause of death. The military will not pay out any expenses to cover Kelly’s funeral until a cause of death is determined. In the meantime, Kelly’s husband has had to charge her funeral expenses on high interest credit cards. Funerals are over $10,000 and he also had to pay for his own burial plot to get his wife buried in the military section of the cemetery.

While finances are not the cure for their pain and sorrow, we would love to help alleviate this financial burden so that Kelly’s husband can concentrate on taking care of their children, who are suffering the loss of their mother.

We truly appreciate any donation  to this amazing family in need. Kelly’s husband bravely defends our country. We would like to show him our appreciation and return some kindness and blessing to him and his two small children.

They live in a rented, very small, 800 sq ft. home. Kelly’s husband no longer can bear the pain of sleeping in the bedroom where his wife passed. If we are so blessed to receive donations, more than the cost of the funeral, we would love to move them to another rental home, and closer to Gina so she can help care for the children.
