On April 17, 2018, Kelly was not feeling quite like herself. When her husband Arthur returned home from work, she asked that he watch over their two boys (five and three years old), she needed to rest. She awoke in the morning hours of April 18, 2018 with an upset stomach and feeling cold chills. Arthur went to get her some over the counter medicine, and when he turned the light on to give her the medicine; he noticed her skin color was not normal.
Kelly was transported to the E.R. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and there Kelly and Arthur received a devastating diagnosis that Kelly had gone into septic shock and developed disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and was placed on life support, with less than a 20% chance of survival. Kelly was in end stage multi-organ failure, and throughout Kelly’s struggle to survive, she suffered a loss of blood flow to her extremities. All of Kelly’s fingers and half of both feet had to be amputated.
Kelly, Arthur and their two children continue to keep their faith and are in the middle of a very long tough hard battle. Many people have asked how they can help; Love, Prayer and Financial support is the best way to help Kelly and her family. We are currently trying to raise money to pay for prosthetic hands and feet so that Kelly can get back to being a Great Mother and Great Wife.
We ask you to consider a donation at this very difficult and challenging time for Kelly and her family; thank you very much for your compassion and generosity!
