Keep Yoselin Safe: Stand with America

America Perez Ramirez, a long-time Florida resident and survivor of human trafficking, is facing a terrifying ultimatum. Her 11-year-old daughter, Yoselin, a U.S. citizen suffers from Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD), a rare and deadly genetic disorder requiring constant medical supervision, a highly specialized diet, and equipment not available in Mexico.

Yoselin’s doctors have confirmed in writing: removal from the U.S. will likely result in her death due to the lack of treatment options in Mexico. Yet ICE is moving forward with deportation and has refused to allow America to even file a stay of removal.

She has been ordered to leave the country by May 16, 2025, and faces two unbearable choices:

Take her daughter to Mexico, where she has no passport, no access to adequate care, and no chance of survival; or

Give up custody of her child to an unknown guardian in the U.S., tearing apart a family and leaving a critically ill child without her mother.

America has no criminal record and has complied with ICE’s supervision for nearly a decade. Her T Visa application is pending with USCIS, as she is a survivor of trafficking.
