Dear Family and Friends,
We have all been devastated and saddened by the sudden departure of our dear daughter, sister, mother, and friend Katie. Not a day goes by that she doesn't cross my mind, or I see something and think ‘she would love this!’ only to be met again with the deafening realization that she is gone. We can’t thank our friends and family enough for the outpouring of support and prayers that have come our way since this tragedy occurred. In instances like this there’s no preparation, for either the emotional or the financial toll this takes on a family.
It is in this vein that we created this Golf Tournament and Fundraiser, and since not everyone plays golf, I wanted to create an additional avenue for people to contribute. I won’t mince words. Funerals, burials, and tombstones are very expensive, and when there’s no life insurance present, it must be paid by the families that are burying their loved one. Now, not only are we coming to terms with our sister dying suddenly, we see how the additional stress that doling out thousands of dollars is affecting your parents’ psyche. We have created this page in the effort to repay that money to our parents. Anything will help. Our goal is to pay off the funeral expenses and then establish a trust for Kate’s children, Addie (11) and Aidan (9), [Office1] which can be used to save for their education and medical needs.
