Baby Luszczek-Fakhry Future Fund

Our dear colleague and friend, Kashka Fakhry (nee Luszczek) married Rami Fakhry, the love of her life, on October 28, 2017.

After being married a year, Kashka and Rami were overjoyed to learn they were expecting a baby in the new year.

Tragically, late afternoon on Friday, November 16, 2018, on his way home from work, Rami's motorbike collided with a car in north-western Sydney.  

Rami, 29, was rushed to hospital but tragically died later that evening, leaving behind Kashka, who is 7.5 months pregnant with their first child, a baby boy due late January, 2019.

Originally from Poland, Kashka moved to Australia in 2003 to attend university.   All of Kashka's family reside in Poland and despite her very strong friendships in Sydney, her family network is overseas. 

Kashka is a very intelligent, private, proud yet humble lady who has an incredible work ethic. 

Kashka's colleagues at Apotex in Australia have therefore set up the Baby Luszczek-Fakhry fund to raise invaluable funds to show our support for, and financially assist Kashka and her baby in these tragic circumstances.

Kashka is a much loved colleague and friend to many and we want to do as much as possible to ensure Kashka and her baby are supported now, and well into the future following Rami's tragic passing.
