Hello everyone, my name is Kate and Karen is my sister-in-law. Karen has been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. For those of you coming across this who don't know Karen, let me tell you a little about her. Karen is a nurse, she has spent the better part of her adult life helping people going through the worst times in their lives. Now it's our turn to help her. She met and fell in love with my brother Tom and 6 and half years ago they were blessed with my nephew Jonah. Jonah is a sweet and energetic little boy who loves going on trips and adventures with mom and dad! Karen and Tom have just moved into a new places days before they got the news of Karen's diagnosis. Moves are already stressful and expensive and Karen's road to recovery and remission will, I am sure, be successful, but also stressful and expensive. If you know Karen, chances are you love her, and if you are coming across this page by sheer coincidence, I assure you this is a worthy cause.

We are trying to raise money for Karen, Tom and Jonah so that they don't have to worry about compounding medical bills and deductibles, transportation to and from treatments, child care for Jonah, meals or any number of things that come up. I am hopeful that by taking a few less things to worry about off their plate, Karen will be in the best place to begin her fight and kick Cancer's ass. Karen starts her treatments on August 19th.
