Embracing Baby Davis: Our Adoption

When we found out about our first pregnancy, we were ecstatic and thus began our journey to start our family. We lost our first baby to a miscarriage. After 16 months, we were blessed with another pregnancy which also ended in miscarriage. After several doctor's appointments and lots of invasive tests, we found out that we would not be able to conceive without intervention. Sara's body creates a barrier that prevents the embryo from implanting. We were excited to learn that there might be a way to treat this; purposeful implantation, blood thinners, and hormones. We went through 4 rounds of fertility treatment which landed Sara with complications, an emergency room visit, and surgery. Despite our best efforts, we found that natural conception was not in our cards. After endless hours of research and months of consideration, we have finally signed on with adoption agency and have started the process to make our family of 2 a family of 3.

Despite the challenges we have faced thus far, our goal is to provide unconditional love and support to the child we are meant to raise. Our hearts our filled with excitement, and some fear, as we embark on this adventure. We welcome all the love and support we have received from our families and friends thus far and hope that you will share our excitement in this journey. Unfortunately, the monetary requirement for adoption is quite large. The average range is between $22,000 - $28,000 and can reach over $35,000 depending on the specific circumstances. Due to the expense of months of fertility treatment, ER and surgery expenses, the savings account is very low. We are willing to take out loans, but are trying our best to be as fiscally responsible as possible as we bring a child into our family. We know that we can offer a loving, enriching, and happy home for this child. Please help us fulfill our goal and bring a baby home!
