A REALIDADE

Muitas crianças da Beira Interior, em zonas rurais, não têm acesso à educação musical. Crescem afastadas de oportunidades de expressão artística e de participação em atividades culturais.

O PROJETO

•⁠ ⁠Criação de 14 núcleos corais infantis gratuitos em escolas do concelho da Covilhã.

•⁠ ⁠Envolvimento de mais de 320 crianças (5-10 anos) durante o ano letivo 2025/2026.

•⁠ ⁠Sessões semanais de coro com educadores musicais profissionais.

•⁠ ⁠Aprendizagem de canções ligadas à cultura local e a valores universais.

•⁠ ⁠Participação em concertos públicos.

•⁠ ⁠Culminar no 1.º Festival Nacional de Coros Infantojuvenis da Covilhã.

PORQUÊ AGORA

Em setembro de 2025, coincidindo com o início do ano letivo. Para o sucesso do projeto, são necessários recursos para 10 meses:

•⁠ ⁠Coordenação artística e professores qualificados.

•⁠ ⁠Transportes para escolas rurais dispersas.

•⁠ ⁠Materiais pedagógicos e instrumentos de apoio.

•⁠ ⁠Produção técnica de concertos e festival.

SING AND GROW THROUGH ART

THE REALITY

Many children in Portugal’s Beira Interior region, especially in rural areas, have no access to music education. They grow up without opportunities for artistic expression or participation in cultural activities.

THE PROJECT

• Creation of 14 free children’s choirs in schools across the municipality of Covilhã.

• Involvement of over 320 children (ages 5–10) during the 2025/2026 school year.

• Weekly choir sessions with professional music educators.

• Learning songs connected to local culture and universal values.

• Participation in public concerts.

• Culminating in the 1st National Festival of Children’s Choirs in Covilhã.

WHY NOW?

Launching in September 2025, aligned with the start of the school year. To ensure success, resources are needed for 10 months:

• Artistic coordination and qualified teachers.

• Transport to dispersed rural schools.

• Educational materials and support instruments.

• Technical production for concerts and the festival.

IMPACT

More than teaching children to sing, the project builds self-esteem, teamwork, creativity, and a sense of belonging — transforming isolation into community.
