Justice for Jazz - Support for Medical Bills

Donation protected
At 1 am on Easter morning, a 19 year-old freshman at Quincy University, Jazzpher Evans, was violently attacked by Steve William Homan. The attack took place at the bar Homan owns, "The Barn", in Quincy, Illinois. Homan is a 47 year-old man who is 6'5 and weighs over 200 lbs. He approached Jazzpher, who is 5'5 and weighs 125 lbs, and aggressively pushed her up against a wall. He proceeded to harm this student and strangled her until she was unconscious. Homan dragged Jazzpher's body out of the bar and slammed her to the ground and left her there, not caring if she was dead or alive. As a result of Homan's brutal attack, Jazzpher sustained injuries to her face, nose, hip, back, and neck. In addition to these physical injuries, Jazzpher and her family are suffering from emotional trauma while trying to cope with the pain they have endured from this experience. All donations will help show support to this family and help them work towards recovery from this horrific event.

This fundraiser is sponsored by Quincy University students in the Masters of Science in Education in Counseling program, undergraduate students, and graduate assistants who all seek to stand up for justice and show our support for Jazz.
