Fight for Hunter

Hunter Lee Spiegelberg was born at 3:59 AM, and was rushed to Tacoma General by pediatric ambulance.  while Jen had to stay at St. Pete's hospital and recover from a C section her husband Keith followed the ambulance to Tacoma. Little Hunter had to have a tracheotomy tube put in that same day so that he could breath. Hunter was born with Treachers Collins syndrome, a very rare genetic disorder,  Hunter also can't hear and will have to undergo multiple surgeries to correct his cleft palate, nasel passages, chin, ears and more that they are not aware of yet. 

Jen has now recovered and was able to join her husband and little Hunter in Tacoma where we they have had stayed ever since, taking care of Hunter and their 2 yr old. (Both of their boys have the same birthday on September 14th!)
Hunter has been doing very well. He breathes on his own, without assistance through the trach tube and has a feeding tube. They were told that after he overcomes some obstacles he will be able to lead a completely normal life. He does not have any neurological disabilities, and most of his body is normal. He will be a regular kid and go to regular school! :) Those are the things that we are trying to focus on as we go through this time. We have faith in God that He will see us through this hard time, all the surgeries, and on to the good times!
Baby Hunter was, and still is 4 lb 13 oz. He's healthy and strong. He has Keith's dimples and brown eyes. Jen likes to think he has my gentle spirit. Their son Samuel loves his new brother and is taking our short displacement really well because we're right across the street from the park! Plus we've been spoiling him. :)

We are asking for your help, Jen will not be returning to work due to Hunter needing full assistance as he gets older. They have a long time before Hunter is able to go home from the hospital. Insurance is paying for some but a lot of it is out of pocket and now only on one income. They are grateful for anything. Let's pray and spread the love for Hunter.
