Aid Josh’s recovery from the Palisades Fire
Donation protected
The tragedies that have struck Los Angeles are horrific, and it is without a doubt that thousands will be affected for some time. In the midst of this devastation, I am reaching out on behalf of my son, Josh, who has suffered an unimaginable loss in the recent Palisades Fire.
With a heavy heart, Josh has reported that he has lost everything. He managed to escape safely with just two carry-on suitcases of clothing, his beloved cats, Jim and Dwight, and his surfboard. Beyond these few possessions, everything else, including childhood memorabilia and cherished family heirlooms, has been destroyed. Josh now faces the daunting task of completely starting over.
Outside of his home, Josh's workplace has also been affected - temporarily closing due to excessive smoke and ash from the nearby fire. He will be temporarily unable to earn his normal wages while the business navigates this tough time and until the community feels safe to return.
While we are grateful that he is safe, the process of rebuilding his life will take time. Insurance claims and disaster relief are expected to take weeks, if not longer, to come through. This GoFundMe aims to provide Josh with immediate assistance to help him transition to a new home and cover essential personal items and necessities during this challenging period.
Josh is incredibly grateful for any support he receives and is committed to paying it forward. Once the financial goal is met to cover his relocation and basic needs, Josh has pledged to donate all remaining proceeds to the Los Angeles Fire Department and local animal shelters, organizations that have been vital in responding to this crisis.
We understand that many others are also in need right now, and we are deeply appreciative of any help you can provide. Whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign, your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. Thank you for supporting Josh as he begins to rebuild his life.
