My names Alex Findley and I’m fund raising for the best neighbors in the world! Today, 11:20am February 8th, Shayna was in a T-Bone collision with her 5 1/2 month old baby Emmett in the back seat. Leaving the car totaled, and their lives changed.
Any new mother and father knows the financial pressure having a child brings, you can imagine the position this puts these new parents and simply beautiful people in.
Coincidentally, I was heading towards the intersection the accident happened at. I couldn’t see who was driving, but witnessed the crash. I switched on my emergency lights and ran right for the car that looked the worst. White car with the hood smashed to the windshield. Shayna opened the door as I reached for the handle and yelled out through the airbags and smoke “My baby, I have a baby.” Realizing this was my neighbor, it clicked. That baby was Emmett.
After I pulled baby Emmett out of the wreckage, Shayna’s eyes, despite the horror of the situation, glowed with relief and gratitude that her baby, the only thing that mattered, was okay. Not long after, reality set in. This car accident changed everything for her and Jonny.
This GoFundMe is going 100% to these amazing parents, and will help them get a new vehicle fit for their son Emmett. The last thing these new parents should have to think about in this situation is money.
