Jonathan Krumins Memorial Education Fund
Donation protected
Jonathan Krumins passed away on August 17, 2019 leaving behind two nephews, Jack and Finn, whom he had looked forward to spoiling. Jonathan loved being an uncle and marvelled at the physical and behavioural similarities between the young boys and himself. He would often speculate on things that they might do as they grew up, and hobbies that he might be able to share with them. Jonathan’s passions included computers, gaming, politics, history, sailing, travel and scuba diving. He was a dedicated lifelong learner, and remained actively tied to the University of Toronto acting as an advisor to his fraternity Phi Delta.
Jon’s wife and partner, Amber and Rodney, are establishing an education fund in Jonathan’s name, to the benefit of Jack and Finn. The intent of the fund is to support both formal and informal education for the boys as they move through their life journeys.
Donations are being accepted in Canadian Dollars (CAD - don’t worry if you’re in the USA or elsewhere, the site will do the conversion for you). Funds donated in CAD will be allocated between Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs), and segregated savings accounts administered by the boys’ parents, Aynsley and Eric.
One of Jon’s core philosophies in life was that if there was something that he could do to make the world better for people that he loved, then he should do it. He loved his nephews immensely. It feels right that he should continue to help them throughout their lives.
