Join Mark Rutherford's Battle Against Pancreatic Cancer

Hi, we are helping to raise funds for Mark Rutherford, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August of 2023. Medical bills continue to grow as he undergoes traditional chemo as well as seeking supportive natural and homeopathic treatments.

Mark had 5 rounds of chemo before undergoing (and surviving!) a particularly complex Whipple surgery in December. A January scan revealed that the cancer had metastasized to his liver, and he was diagnosed as Stage 4. He restarted chemo every 2 weeks and after his next scan in March a different chemo was prescribed. Another scan this month will show how well this new treatment is working.

Mark and his loving wife Bonnie own a small business in Canton, MI. He can no longer travel to do sales and marketing as he has for their 16 years in business. This is their only source of income, as Bonnie, aided by their strong office and field team, are working hard to keep their business going while Mark is seeking treatment. At the same time, Bonnie desires to spend as much time as possible with Mark, her husband of 36 years, as they fight this cancer together.

In addition to traditional treatment, Mark and Bonnie have been seeking trials, homeopathic supplements and repurposed drugs that are being used to treat cancer, as they are determined to do everything possible to beat this thing. However, all treatments come at a significant cost, and these latter ones are not covered by insurance.

This cancer is relentless, but so are Mark & Bonnie, and so is our God! We pray for complete recovery, so He can return to a productive life of love and service to God, his family, and his community.
