Hello. On 5/15/25, my daughter will have surgery to have a vagus nerve stimulator placed. Kendall has tried a variety of anti-epilepsy medications, and they have all been unsuccessful. Due to recent injuries from seizures, I had to have very difficult conversations with her medical team about the path ahead. Placing the VNS can possibly reduce seizures by 50% and hopefully reduce the fifteen pills a day she now takes.
As a full-time gig employee and entrepreneur, I will miss opportunities to clean houses and tell jokes while I provide care for her. Kendall has a rare genetic condition called Primrose Syndrome, and epilepsy is one of the many conditions associated with it. Surgery will occur 3 days after she graduates from school and almost a month before her 21st birthday. Thank you in advance for your support.
