Our Story:

There is no more devastating news than hearing your child has cancer. On July 11th, our world was turned upside down when our sweet James was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. What began as a fever and unexplained leg pain quickly escalated into a series of alarming tests and an unimaginable diagnosis. Initially, doctors suspected a bone infection due to high inflammatory markers in his blood. However, further investigations revealed the devastating truth: a tumor on his adrenal gland above his kidney, with cancer spreading to his leg, arm, spine, and eye bones.

James is now facing the fight of his life.

The Plan:

Brendan and Alicia, James's loving parents, have been working closely with the dedicated care team at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Together with the team of oncologists specializing in solid tumor cancers, they've outlined a rigorous, year-long treatment plan to combat this aggressive cancer. James will undergo multiple rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery to remove the tumor, and then more chemotherapy and immunotherapy to ensure every cancer cell is eradicated.

The journey began with a tumor biopsy and the successful placement of a stent, marking the start of a grueling but hopeful path to recovery.
