Joey Strong Forever – Creating a Legacy of Healing and Hope

On March 22, 2025, our beloved Joey Melton took his final breath after a fiercely courageous battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, Pops to his grandbabies, a veteran, and a friend to many. He was also the heart of our family—steady, strong, and full of quiet wisdom.

When Joey was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, we chose to walk a different path—one of hope, of natural and alternative therapies, and of deep, intentional healing. But along the way, we discovered an overwhelming truth: there is little to no help available for those who choose to step outside the standard system.

The original GoFundMe was created by our oldest daughter, Tylor, out of pure love and desperation to save her daddy’s life. She poured her heart into that fundraiser, and the generosity of so many gave us time—more moments, more memories, more chances to fight.

Now that Joey has transitioned, we are continuing that fight. But this time, it’s for others.

We are starting a foundation in Joey’s name—a place where families can find resources, support, and hope when they choose non-toxic, integrative, or holistic treatments. We will also fight for insurance reform, so no family has to walk this path alone or empty-handed just because their choices don’t fit a broken system.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, we ask that you contribute to the beginning of Joey’s legacy. This foundation will be built with love, strength, and purpose—just like the man himself.
