Joey Jr came down with bronchitis about 2 weeks ago and because he doesn't work enough hours he does not have health insurance. He went to Urgent Care (which cost $300) and the Doctor gave him antibiotics and sent him home. He thought he was getting better but when his roommate returned from vacation, he took one look at Joey and told him he didn't look good. He rushed him to the ER and on the way there Joey passed out in car. Joey & Gigi got the call at 11:45 am on Friday. They jumped in the car with little time to gather clothes etc. and they raced to Glendale Memorial hospital. They arrive at 7:00pm Friday night and spent the next 12 hours in the ER. The Doctor said he if hadn't come in he would have died. He had a really bad case of pneumonia in both his lungs.

After his vitals improved, they moved him to a room . He then spiked a fever and had to be put on Antibiotic for an infection in his lungs. It will take up to 5 days for his lungs to be restored. If he was to be released and his lungs were not normal, he would have to bring oxygen home for 3 weeks. During this time, Gigi and Joey have had to stay in a Hotel. 

By Monday Joey Jr's temp was normal. Unfortunately there is more bad news. The Social Worker came in and said Joey Jr. does not qualify for MediCal and he currently owes the Hospital $40,000 (that does not include the Doctor or any medication)! He will still probably owe upwards of $100,000 for 5 more days.
