Hurricane Joaquin has moved into the North Atlantic but has left devastation in its wake. With tragic stories from Crooked Island, Acklin's Island, Inagua, and Long Island among others, Mangrove Cay Club has organized a relief fund for anglers who would like to help.
As owners of Mangrove Cay Club, Sweetwater Travel and Liz and Alton Bain are providing the seed funding for the relief fund. Our goal is to assist the folks in the southeastern Bahamas as they move through this difficult recovery.
Funds will be donated to relief agencies organizing the efforts to help our Bahamian friends get back on their feet. Both Mangrove Cay Club and Sweetwater Travel have donated to help support the effort, and we hope you will join us supporting the Bahamians during this difficult time.
Prior to disbursement of funds, we will notify all donors how the funds are being utilized. Prior to disbursement, all funds will be held in our American bank account based in Livingston, Montana. They will be disbursed directly to relief groups in the Bahamas.
