Jeremy Thielen’s Hospital & after care
Jeremy had surgery on 7/13 to have a baclofen pump installed to help him with his leg spasticity from his multiple sclerosis. He was supposed to be released the following day but there were complications, resulting in a 3 week stay at United Hospital. Jeremy was finally able to come home last Monday evening, but currently needs assistance, and is unable to be independent at this time. At his follow up appointment today, they thought he should even be re-admitted due to his weakness, but we are working with the baclofen pump nurse to try and get the pump adjusted to see if that will help. During this time, I have not been working, in order to care for Jeremy. My family has been helpful, but bills are continuing to pile up. I have taken a leave of absence, but hope to return to work on 8/23 if we can get approval for a PCA by then. Anything you can do to help would be very much appreciated. Jeremy has been fighting his best fight to have the best life he can have with his MS, and the financial stress only makes things harder on us both.
