I am Irene Vito, one of Jeffrey and Cristina Alava's close friends.

Unfortunately, Jeffrey, who was only 44 years old, has recently lost his battle with cancer and has left behind his wife, Cristina and his family. So, with Cristina's permission, my friends and I decided to start a gofundme page to help with funeral expenses and bills that have or will arise. It is our little way of supporting his family.

To describe Jeffrey to those who don't know him, he was a man of few words, but when he does speak, it is always words of wisdom for everyone listening. He was always ready to help anyone in need. He was a private man and did not like talking about himself, even when he was diagnosed with cancer. He and his wife kept quiet and were only open about it to their family and a few friends. They kept it very private until the end. He fought hard and fought a good fight. He was a loving husband, son, brother, friend and an excellent physical therapist.
