Jeff Lavender Cancer expenses

Our dear friend, Jeff Lavender was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Cancer, Stage 4 last week at the base of his tongue.  After getting the course of treatment, the reality of the extensive expense is overwhelming. Teeth extraction to be able to do radiation, Radiation and chemo 5 days a week for 6 weeks, surgery to insert port and feeding tube - just to get started.

While getting the diagnosis of this aggressive cancer is shocking, the cost of treatment and appointments can almost be more so. The Lavenders are members of a Christian healthcare organization called Samaritan Health Ministries (SHM). What this means is they will be self-pay for all courses of action through this fight, and will have to rely on the generosity of other members in SHM to be able to be reimbursed for medical expenses.  In other words, they have to self pay up front for everything and hope that they will be reimbursed something after the fact, but with no guarantee.

So any, and all, help they can receive upfront helps! Will you join to help Jeff get the treatment?  He begins with a PET scan next week and has already had biopsy surgery. So since they have to "pay as you go", the need is real.
