Japan Mission Trip #2!
Doação protegida
So, I suppose the cat’s out of the bag now! The exciting news I wanted to tell you is that God has blessed me with an opportunity to be a part of the Japan Mission Trip team from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. We will specifically be going to Nagoya, Japan to evangelize and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to college students in that area.
I’m now in my 3rd semester here at SWBTS and am currently pursuing my Master of Divinity. The Lord has really grown me in this short time period here at SWBTS, and He is teaching me something new every day. Originally when I first heard about the Japan Mission Trip, it was in the Spring of last year (my first semester). And I thought the same thing a year ago that I do today, “Man, I really want to go on that mission trip!”
Only last year, I didn’t think it was even possible to go. I was working full time and I didn’t believe I could raise the funds. Want to know what has changed about my situation since then? Nothin’. I’m still working full time and I still don’t have the funds. But do you want to know what did change? My attitude and faith. I believe God is able to provide. I believe He has called me to go on this mission trip.
God has given me a heart for the Japanese people. I want them to know the same truth we hold in our hearts: that Jesus loves them, came to die on a cross for them to take away their sin, and rose victoriously from the grave so that they too could have life in Him if they believe. Did you know that the Japanese are one of the largest unreached people groups in the world? It is estimated that there are less than 0.2% evangelical Christians in a country of 127 million people. That’s a lot of unreached people! Our group will go out and plant more seeds.
I feel led to go on this trip for the reason stated above, but also because of how much growth and insight I’ll gain from this trip as well. I will be receiving 6 hours (2 classes) of credit while in Japan. These two classes are “World Religions: Japan” and “International Evangelism.” I’ll be receiving first-hand experience in evangelism training and the Japanese religious culture!
Please definitely pray for me as I prepare to go on this mission trip. It will be my first time out of the country for a missional purpose. In fact, it will be my first mission trip since I have been saved! There is absolutely ZERO pressure to send me any funds. I know the Lord is able! But if you do feel led to give, please send the money via this page!
Thank you so much for considering this request. Your support of me, whether in prayer or finances, is deeply appreciated.
Til Jesus Comes Back,
Brit
