The Moose is a fraternal and service organization founded in 1888 with over 900,000 members in roughly 1,300 Lodges in 49 states and four Canadian provinces, plus Great Britain. The Moose Fraternity supports the operation of Mooseheart Child City & School, a 1,000-acre community for children and teens in need, located 40 miles west of Chicago, and Moosehaven, a 63-acre, five-star retirement community for its members near Jacksonville, FL.

Janesville Moose was chartered in 1910. Through the years and a few location changes, it has endured. It has been a significant part of the community's social and charitable activities. We have supported the following organizations: Echo, Head Start, School District of Janesville, Janesville Police Department Canine Unit, Walk a Mile in her Shoes, ADRC, Special Olympics, MDA, Rock Aqua Jays, MAYC, Gifts Men's Shelter, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA, Project 16:49, American Cancer Society, Vets Roll, Honor Flight, Boys and Girls Club, House of Mercy, Pregnancy Helpline, Salvation Army, Jolly Jingle parade and many other organizations.

Now we are asking for the community's support. Many people thought we closed due to the building on Rockport Road being demolished. However, we are still functioning in our location at 418 W Milwaukee Street.
