Jacob Contreras - Family Fund

Jacob Daniel Contreras went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2021.

 

Jacob was the life of the party. He had a laugh that would fill a room. He never met a stranger. He was everyone’s best friend. He is loved beyond words.

 

Jacob was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer nearly 4 years ago. He was a warrior, facing head-on a plethora of painful tests, horrible side effects and gut wrenching doctors appointments. He did so mostly in private, only letting a few of us in, as to not make everyone worry and fuss over him. He never complained.

 

Chantal is the love of his life. The doting spouse that wrapped in him in love and hugs, especially when he felt sad and deflated. She is the fearless lover who protected him, fed him, nursed him, and loved him deeply for so many years. Chantal has been selflessly dedicated to Jacob, always trying to do it all - keeping up with a professional career Jacob was very proud of and being the best mom to Emilia.

 

Jacob always wanted to be a father and was elated when Chantal got pregnant. Baby Emilia, our beautiful miracle brings so much joy to us, but especially to Jacob. She was his source of inspiration when he was tired. She was his reason to keep pulling himself up when it seemed impossible. She would make him forget about his health in 1 word - "Dada".

 

Jacob was diagnosed shortly after taking a break from Google, leaving him without the financial means it would have brought to make him feel his girls are well taken care of.

 

Many of you have asked how you can help, and I feel this would be the best way. To help financially, giving to Chantal even when she hasn't asked, will let her know we all stand with her. We all love and support her as she and Emilia charter the unfathomable future without Jacob.
