Jack G Simpson Jr

Staff Sergeant Jack G Simpson passed away after a short, unexpected but valiant battle with an unknown illness at T.J. Sampson Hospital in Glasgow Kentucky on Friday June 20th 2025 in the early hours of the morning.

Daddy was a 20 year veteran in the United States Army, and was retired from the military. Because of this he will be buried at a Military Funeral in Nashville Tennessee. His service and burial are paid for by Veterans Affairs. The amount we are asking for help in paying is for his casket, transportation costs and preparing him for a private viewing by his immediate family to provide closure of family members who were unable to be at his bedside in time.

Daddy does have a pending insurance claim, however we are currently in a complicated process attempting to get it paid out to pay for his final expenses.

Daddy’s beneficiary for his policy is Melissa. For anyone that doesn’t know our family, Melissa is our second oldest sister. Melissa was hit by a drunk driver in April and is still in a hospital recovering from a severe traumatic brain injury. At this time Melissa is not medically capable of signing any of daddy’s paperwork. This means that her husband Mickey would need to sign on behalf, but there is a legal process that is delaying this.

The second complicated factor is daddy made a change to his life insurance policy at the beginning of this year and in doing so reinitiated a waiting period before the policy could be drawn from. We have been advised that the policy may not be paid out, even after we can get the paperwork signed by Melissa’s husband (on her legal behalf).

As a family the last few months have been extremely painful. As you can imagine we are financially struggling to come up with funds for yet another family tragedy.
