It Takes a Village Medical Fund

We are raising funds for my sister, Heather Aultman, and her family. She has been recently diagnosed with synovial sarcoma which is a rare form of soft tissue cancer. Heather is a 35-year old single working mother of two young children, ages 3 and 8. 

Heather will be undergoing chemotherapy treatment and then surgery for a projected 8-12 weeks at UCSF. During that time she will be unable to attend work, and will be incurring travel expenses related to her stays in San Francisco while getting treatment at UCSF. She will also be out her income from work (that portion of which disability will not cover). Heather is a recent graduate of a paralegal studies program and looks forward to becoming a paralegal once her treatments have been completed. However she has tested positive for the gene and will endure a lifetime of future tests to catch the recurrence of this cancer. 

We are turning to the community to help us fund the expenses that are rapidly occurring. Heather has a circle of close family and friends that are and will be helping her care of her children and other “adulting” responsibilities while she focuses on her care. We appreciate any support you can give.
