Hello. My Name is Shawn Crystal. I am a comic book artist, and the host of the Inkpulp Audio podcast. There are almost 100 episodes available, for free, on iTunes and Spotify. Fort the past 6 or so years I have been creating this free podcast with my audio engineer, Alan Barnes. We hit a wall when the amount of time and money this creative endeavor required became too much. Which led to the podcast going on hiatus. I wasn't even sure if i wanted to keep the podcast going. Creatively, i was lost as to where to go with it.
I received so many messages from fans about how much they missed the podcast. This inspired me and gave me the vision I needed, I saw the future of the podcast. Instead of once a month, I'd like to release seasons. All in one drop. Once or twice a year I'll release a bulk of episodes, i.e. season 8. For each season I'd like to take a trip to a different part of the world to record a ton of episodes. These trips define each season, i.e. Inkpulp Audio: season 8, Portland.
I truly enjoy recording these episodes, and seeing the enjoyment my many listeners get from it. I really want to keep it going.
Like I said, The issue has been time and money. I've put a lot of both into this creative endeavor. While i've made some money doing it, i'm still in the red. So, again, the issue is time away form paying work, and the money to keep it going.
If this problem is time and money, i needed a solution. This gofundme is just that.
I'd like to raise money for each trip. Money to cover my traveling expenses, meals, hotel, equipment, and time away from work.
If i can raise enough, it will allow me to create more content for inkpulp Audio. If you are a fan, or curious about the podcast, it will mean more content for you. Anything you can contribute would mean the world to me. My fans are extremely loyal, and i'm hoping you are invested enough to want to see this ship continue to sail.
