In Memory of Melissa (Taylor) Shiltz

This is my sister, Melissa. I’m hoping to raise money for a memorial in her honor and to open a savings account for her two young children, Bella & Jackson. She won’t be here to help them along the way and maybe we can help do that for her.
Melissa struggled, as many are struggling, and while I don’t have all the right words, I do know that no one should have to feel isolated and alone with no way out. I desperately want to show Bella & Jack that you are never alone and asking for help is always ok. I thought this could be a way to begin that journey in her name and a better way that friends, family, & anyone who understands the loss of a young mother could help in lieu of flowers & gifts.

Children never deserve such tragedy and I want to make sure they have the help they need to make it successfully to the other side. Please, anyone out there feeling alone, reach out for help and don’t try to shoulder great burdens alone. Love to everyone of you reading this. While we can’t force help upon people, sometimes we need to be strong and steadfast in our offers till the person in great pain truly sees our love and acceptance.

I promise to do more everyday in your name, Melissa. I promise to be that for your babies. I’m so sorry I didn’t reach you in time.
