For the family of Mauricio Perez

Mauricio Perez was an employee at the Circle-K gas station in the south Denver suburb of Centennial at the corner of S. Quebec St. and E. County Line Rd., right on the corner of the C470 exit and border with Highlands Ranch. On Thanksgiving night (11/26/20), a man came in with a gun, demanded cigarettes, and within minutes Mauricio was shot. He later died after surgery. CCTV captured images of the assailant, which detectives have been using to generate tips along with the community, which finally led to the arrest of a suspect two weeks later (12/11/20), on the same day of Mauricio’s funeral. His family had to front his funeral costs, and everything associated with the loss of a family member.
