It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Karen Mitchell on 5th November, a much-loved daughter, sister and dear friend to so many. She meant the world to those who knew her, and we would like to do something meaningful in her memory to help others.
We are hoping to raise £4,000 in Karen's memory, to fund lifesaving equipment and support the incredible teams who help in emergencies.
1) Our first goal is to raise enough to purchase two defibrillators from the British Heart Foundation , one for Daisy Nook & Oakhill Riding School and another for the Manchester Equestrian Centre, where Karen loved spending her time riding.
Together, these will cost £2,244.
2) All further funds will be donated to the North West Air Ambulance.
- £180 could buy one heat pack used to heat a patients blood in order to be given a blood transfusion
- £380 could pay for a primary response bag carrying essential medical equipment to treat trauma patients
- £700 could fund the vehicle running costs for one month
Any donation, no matter how small, will help us honour Karen's memory in a way that reflects the generous and amazing person she was, and her love for others. We please ask that in lieu of flowers or gifts in memory, please consider making a donation to this page instead.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
